When a tire blows out while someone is driving, the person should first keep calm and hold the steering wheel firmly. Then the person should NOT slam on the brake, but slowly let the car slow down, staying in the lane and not pulling over until the car is almost at a stop so the person doesn't lose control of the car.
(tire) The blowout caused the car to careen across the road. (slang) The home team beat their rivals in a blowout victory.
Who's at fault with a tire blowout?
Replace the tire
The noun is one word: "blowout." This has several meanings, including a tire explosion and a lopsided victory in sports.
An catastrophic failure of a vehicle tire.
stop and change it!
Assuming a tire blowout, it depends on the vehicle and rate of travel. Generally speaking the front end will spin in the direction of the blowout if on the front, if on the back it's rarer to spin but the car will want to drift in that direction. However if you do lose control on a back blowout it will generally be a pretty bad spin since essentially at that point you've only got your front wheels with traction because if you're spinning on a back blowout your remaining back tire has lost traction. Personally I blew out a back tire on an old beater at highway speeds, it was RWD and I did a complete 720 before stopping on the opposite site shoulder.
stop and change it!
