P0014
Camshaft position sensor, timing over advanced.
I have read some bulletins regarding Camshaft position issues with these vehicles, much of it revolves around a PCM operating on outdated software, an update to the PCM may cure it all, otherwise the Cam position sensor will probably need to be replaced as it is reporting it's position incorrectly. The fact that it is not malfunctioning completely leads me to this. In my experience the CPS either works or it doesn't.
Also check to be sure all the wiring going to the sensor is clean and tight.
My first approach would be the PCM update, this may be covered under warranty so check with the dealer, that way you know none of the codes are " phantoms" caused by the car's computer and not an actual malfunction
What does code co298 mean on a 2002 Trail Blazer

1484 code is for "cooling fan". It came up on my GMC Envoy today. I will have to get it fixed tomorrow
There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.
This code is for the exhaust cam actuator timing system. There are a few things that can cause this. Anything from the actuator solenoid, to the actuator, to an internal engine problem. - Tech JK ------------------------------

You'd have to look at the RPO code in the glove compartment to determine this, as there were a couple different options. The gear ratio for the front and rear axle will match.
Just had my Oil Changed at Bell Tire and now my trouble light comes on , Code p0014,P0017 and P0172. Could they have done something? It's a 4 Cyl Chevy 2010 Malibu? Thanks
Was that the only code that caused you to replace it? Do you have it close enough to sense again.
I just bought this blazer and it only came with one key my dad had the same year blazer and it had keyless entry
If the service engine light keeps coming on and the code reads?æevap?æ?ævacuum that means the part needs to be replaced. A auto shop can help take care of the repairs.
