the advantage to a light weight crank is it free's up a few more horsepower. down fall is light weight ain't always better could break under high rpm's,causin massive damages
More information is needed.
I have heard that the newer ones are mounted behind the harmonic balancer. On my 92 3.1 it is mounted in the engine block on the rear bank, driver side. Back near where the trans mounts to the engine. You'll have to get under the car to see it.
A tachometer works the same on almost all cars exept motorcycles. Now first you need to know what a camshaft is. If you don't search it on google. The RPM's or Rotations Per Minute, Are the rotations your camshaft makes. Quick extra: your cranckshaft rotates twice as fast as your camshaft makes. So when you are revving at 3000 rpm your cranckshaft wil rotate at 6000 rpm.
Cranckshaft position sensor needs replaced!
Look behind the driver wheel at the cranckshaft pulley. There will be a sensor there. It is the pulley with the teeth.
tach acting crazy on my car too,it would spike up to 6,000 rpms without the engine racing.replace the cranckshaft sensor.
If you're asking what will happen if you put gasoline in a diesel engine, the engine will be destroyed if you run it on gasoline.
The engine will knock.
Amazing Engine happened in 1993.
The Chaos Engine happened in 1993.
Injured Engine happened in 1984.
I am not sure of what year you are talking about. But the 1993 and 1994 Altima does not have a crankshaft sensor(crankshaft position sensor) .....
