You will probably be found guilty "in absentia." It can also depend on what the ticket was for. If you failed to appear in response to a subpoena for a serious offense (e.g.: DUI - etc) you could be served with a bench warrant.
Dont get one in the first place.
You usually have to go to a school that is approved by the county that issued the ticket. But dont worry, you do not have to fly to NY. Just take an online couse that is approved in the county in NY.
This happened to me. You will be handcuffed, arrested and booked. It is a misdemeanor. Just sign the ticket!
Depending on the state but you have to get your license delayed for 1 year from the date of the ticket. Most likely though, if you do drivers school your fine. Just be careful and dont speed. Also try and fight the ticket in court.
state/county specific; i dont know
i will find out tuesday, i hear if you show up on your court day and aske for more time, most judges will give you more time if you are honest and sincere
contact the court clerkBUT I LOST THE TICKET AND I DONT KNOW WHICH STATE I WAS IN THINK CALIFORNIA BUT NOT 100% POSITIVE HOW DO I LOCATE MY INFORMATIONback track the route you took when you got the ticket. then stop at the area you got the ticket and ask someone exactly 'where' you are...............or, if the state issues warrants, and when you get stopped again, the police will probaby drag you off to the court jurisdiction from which you got your ticket.............Now we come to the 'citation number'.............if you don't know 'where' you got the ticket, what good is knowing the citation number going to do ?????????????
They will probably get your license number and then if you dont pay they will track you down
You go without an attorney.
You will be called back to court and punished.
In California you are allowed to attend traffic school for point reduction only once every 18 months.
