airmatic means airbag.when an accident happens the the airbag in the car blow out so that it covers the person from getting injuries
installing airmatic pump on a2001 s500
To reset the airmatic on a 2000 S500, remove the relay of the airmatic pump. It is in a slot O on the passenger side. It is most likely to be stuck on the on position. Then slip it back in.
This is not the cause, this relay is to start the and run the compressor (Basically) and it will not cause the system to lower overnight.
i need to know where it is.
Yes. have a s430 02 and replaced my airmatic pump with out the dealer. pump located on the passenger front side. be sure to check the air lines for leaks.
u need to reprogram the computer with the new height, u have to buy a new relay and program it and it lowers on its own!
It is a ride control issue, one of your airmatic sensors is having an issue, this is the system that controls the suspension and ride on your mercedes.
Having the same problem, i believe it to be at the back left side under the bonnet. (Apparently there are 2 fuse boxed there and 1 under the back seat.)
It has best been described as "ill-defined". See: http://www.nationalboard.org/Index.aspx?pageID=192 Bruce Klauba Airmatic Inc. Malvern, PA
Because they are faulty system-engineering could be compressor located under right frond fender, could be a fuse, could be wires on top of suspension are broken --this is why the 2000-2005 Mercedes are crappy
here is an illustrative guide to replacing your problematic Mercedes s class air matic pump. save some money and DIY :)http://www.nicedeals.co.UK/blog/diy-guides/Mercedes-diy/Mercedes-s-class-air-matic-pump-replacement/
This fuse is a 40A type spade connection in the right front inner footwell. Feeds power direct to X67 relay at back right of fuse box looking from front towards back. Fuse box is located left rear of engine compartment.
