I have a 98 infinite qx4 (from what I was told its just like a pathfinder) that was swaying/rocking. I changed the whole front end and some of the back. I even got different tires, but the whole time it was the bushings. If you're able to move the Controll arms side to side that's a bad sign. The arms should be firm.

When a tire comes off the rim of a vehicle while driving, it can cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle, leading to accidents and injuries. This is dangerous because the vehicle may swerve unexpectedly, potentially causing a collision with other vehicles or objects on the road. Additionally, driving on a rim can damage the vehicle and make it harder to steer and brake, further increasing the risk of accidents.

If the boots are causing discomfort or affecting your ability to operate the pedals, it is advisable to switch to more suitable footwear.
