Start in the middle, and work your way out, in a circular pattern. First, go half torque, then full, turning the crankshaft by hand after each cap.
the torque is 70 ft. lbs., but as far as I know there isn't a torque sequence.
"How to Rebuild the Big Block Chevy V8 Engine" Book has that info
Main bearing torque on 98 Chevy 350 4 bolt main?? The main bearing caps should be torqued to 70 ft. lbs.
For what I read tonight, as I am doing my Big Block, the 4 bolt main is 110LBS
70 ( FT. LBS. )
Specs for main bearings on a 2003 Chevy trailblazer with 4.2 engine .
inner main caps 70 ft. lbs, outer main caps 65 ft. connecting rod torques are 45 ft. lbs (caps)
70 ft/lbs.
70 ft lbs
From the oil pump, through the block to the first main, then through the journal to the rods, then through the journal to the next main, ect.
400, about.
On the main bearings, .001, to .003.
