In Indonesia some of Jeep CJ7 had this engine.
On the C240 engine, the number 1 cylinder is located at the front of the engine, on the passenger side. This configuration is typical for inline engines, where cylinders are numbered sequentially from the front to the rear. For the C240, it is a four-cylinder engine, so the numbering starts with 1 at the front and proceeds to 4 towards the rear. Always refer to the specific engine manual for precise details.
The Isuzu C-240 engine is a 4 cylinder in-line diesel engine.

Revolutions Per Minute ( RPM )
The operating range of rpm, for a C 12 Caterpillar diesel engine is 800 RPM to a maximum of 2400 RPM. The engine should be run at no more than 1800 RPM for a long period of time.
Depends on the engine that is turning 1,000 rpm's. A larger engine develops way more horsepower than a small engine at 1,000 rpm's.
Your engine is not running or your "RPM gauge" is broken.
