Too vague, what year, what engine?? 1991 regal 3.8 liter with 274,650 miles on it, average on mine is 27 mpg. My 1996 lesabre,[same thing, different name] with 3.8 liter, just got it, but not tuned up yet, is about 25 mpg over all.
Need the year of engine, and what it is in to answer correctly.

According to www.fuel economy.gov ( no spaces ) the 1994 Ford Ranger , with 2 wheel drive , 2.3 L engine , 5 speed manual transmission gets 19 MPG CITY / 24 MPG HIGHWAY / 21 MPG COMBINED
My 2005 silverado crew cab /6.0 averages 15.2 mpg
I have all stock and I get 13.4 average MPG accoring to the Onboard computer. (5.3 liter 1500)
