A 3-valve manifold typically features three valves that regulate the flow of fluids in a system, allowing for isolation, venting, and measurement. It usually consists of two valve ports for the process line and one for venting or draining. This design allows for easier maintenance and accurate pressure readings. In contrast, a 5-valve manifold includes additional valves for more complex control and measurement, often used in applications requiring higher precision.
The intake manifold is where the air and fuel mix and enter the engine. The exhaust manifold is where unspent gas and air exit the engine. In other words the intake manifold is where the engine breathes in and the exhaust manifold is how the engine exhales out.
my ford freestar is getting my manifold hot why
the diffence is the intake manifold and exhaust manifolds are slitly bigger
intake ports are differnt non-turbo only one vac port for the fuel reg.
There is no difference,,,
between the head and intake manifold
Between the intake manifold and the cylinder head.
The way I tell the difference is the engine thermostat location : On the Cleveland it is mounted horizontally by the distributor and on the Windsor the thermostat is mounted vertically in the end of the intake manifold
The manifold gasket is the same as the plenum gasket. The manifold gasket is a barrier between the manifold and the engine block.
The manifold is located in different places depending on the make and model of the vehicle. It is also important to note the difference between the intake and exhaust manifolds.
Air pressure difference between the heat at the manifold and the relative cold outside. The manifold can get very hot, which increases pressure towards to outer, cooler, opening. Also, the pressure of more exhaust gas being pump into the manifold from continued combustion from the engine.
ive never heard of suck a thing. they could be referring to rather air (dry) or wet (gas) is going threw it. if its not that, then they are talking about NOS, which i dont know much about lol
