280 miles taking this route:

  1. Take U.S. 264 EAST, from Raleigh (towards ROCKY MOUNT), to I-95 NORTH to RICHMOND at EXIT 464B, near Rocky Mount.
  2. Take I-95 NORTH to I-495 NORTH to TYSONS CORNER at EXIT 170B in northern VIRIGINA, via I-295 NORTH to bypass RICHMOND-PETERSBURG (take EXIT 46 off I-95 in VIRIGINIA to get onto I-295 NORTH to WASHINGTON ; EXIT 43A off I-295 to cotninue on I-95 NORTH to WASHINGTON).
  3. Take I-495 NORTH to I-66 EAST to WASHINGTON at EXIT 49B.
  4. Take I-66 EAST to Falls Church.

PLEASE NOTE: I-66 during PEAK TIMES is HOV(2+)-ONLY, meaning that, during peak times, you must have 2 or more people occupying your vehicle in order to drive on that road. So, if you are driving during peak hours, and you are not a HOV (High-Occupancy Vehicle), you must:

  1. Take EXIT 50B off I-495 to get onto U.S. 50 ARLINGTON BLVD - EAST towards ARLINGTON.
  2. Then take U.S. 50 Arlington Blvd - EAST to SR-649 Annandale Rd, and turn left onto SR-649 Annandale Rd - NORTH towards FALLS CHURCH.
  3. You will then take SR-649 Annandale Rd - NORTH into Falls Church.
