The battle took place in Ardennes Mountains region in Belgium, elsewhere in Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. *The 'Bulge' was the general region of the Ardennes Forrest in Belgium, primarily around the town of Bastogne as in order to control the region and the local supply routes, one must have control of Bastogne (all 8 routes in the region came together in this town).
There were three locations for the Battle of the Bulge. These locations included forest areas of Wallonia, Belgium, France, and Luxembourg. Most of the battle action took place in Ardennes forest.
The 'bulge' was the frontline that protruded out in the region of the Ardennes Mountains (specifically around the town of Bastogne). The Allied forces at that time had control of the area and Nazi forces sought the region to be 100% necessary to take, as the town of Bastogne gave full access to the 8 supply routes in the region (all 8 roads came together in Bastogne). The Germans used the 'bulge' against us by cutting it off at the sides and surrounding the Allied troops within it.

My father was in the 59th Signal Battalion in WWII. They were definitely involved in the Battle of the Bulge (Ardennes campaign). Some members of the battalion were actually stranded in Bastogne for a while. This was a very nasty fight.

The distance between the start point and the destination is 175km, and will take approximately 1 hours 45 minutes of driving time.
Siege of Bastogne happened on 1944-12-27.
Bastogne, Belgium
That is not true. When the German Ardennes offensive surrounded US forces at Bastogne and pushed back US forces elsewhere, Patton withdrew his army from contact with German forces elsewhere, march north to reinforce US positions and participated in the defeat and ultimate failure of the German Ardennes offensive (Battle of the Bulge)
No. Bastogne is in Belgium.
