Depends alot on the factory gearing. The standard 3.55:1 gears and factory F70/14 tires would be at the red line around 110mph, the 3.90:1 around 100, the steep 4.33:1 gears around 90. The "economy" rear end ratios (2.56,2.93, 3.23) that were available with the step down 2bbl option will give you a higher top speeds, but do not accelerate as fast and were not offered by the factory on the high performance engines. Any good running Ram Air III or IV could exceed the factory 5100rpm red line by at least 1000 rpm (the Ram Air IV would easily pull to 6500) and thus have an actual higher top speed of 20-30%, but repeatedly doing so would eventually result in a loud boom and holes in your oil pan. Wish the factory had sprung for a decent forged steel rod for these engines, instead of cast iron.
Newer high performance cars have a higher top speed due to lower numerical rear end gearing, overdrives, and aerodynamics. Many will tell you how their all stock 1960's era muscle car (of any brand) would go 150+mph, but the math (and road tests of them when they were new cars) says otherwise. Most high performance cars of the day were made to accelerate 0-60 or quarter mile as fast as possible, not cruise at top speed.
112 mph (180 km/h).
They didn't make the gto then. They stopped in 2006.
There is no 612 GTO but a 612 has a top speed of 196mph
The 1969 Ferrari 250 GTO has a top speed of approximately 174 mph (280 km/h). This iconic sports car is powered by a 3.0-liter V12 engine, which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around 6.1 seconds. Its blend of speed, design, and racing pedigree has made it one of the most sought-after classic cars in history.
what is the top speed of the 1969 camaro
The top speed of a Ferrari 599 GTO is over 208mph* (about 335kph**) according to Ferrari's website.mph*- miles per hourkph**- kilometers per hour
Curb weight for a hardtop = 3,622 lbs. 3,706 for a drop top.
They did make a 428 in 65gto
A 1969 Pontiac GTO hard top.
The top speed of the 2006 Pontiac GTO is approximately 150 mph (241 km/h). This performance is powered by its 6.0-liter V8 engine, which produces 400 horsepower. The GTO's design and engineering allow it to reach this speed while providing a balance of power and handling. However, actual top speeds can vary based on factors like road conditions and vehicle maintenance.
Top speed was a claimed 190 miler per hour.
High Speed GTO was created on 2009-07-13.
