Open the rear cargo hatch. Pull up the cargo area carpet and open the cargo area floor. To keep the cargo area floor out of the way, the plastic hook is designed to hold the floor ouf of the way by attaching to the top of the roof sill. The jack is underneath the cargo storage bin. Remove the cargo storage bin by removing each of the four clips holding the bin to the floor by pulling straight up on the ring. Lift up and remove the bin. The jack is underneath.
The floor jack could have leaking seals. Or the jack could be low on fluid, or the pressure release screw might not be closing properly.
I use a floor jack and push it way up underneath the center of the rear suspension.
that's easy... first make sure it is completely empty cuz just a lil bit of gas makes it alot harder.... you are gonna need two car ramps for the front tires and two jack stands to hold up the rear end.... once you have the car up in the air.... u'll need a floor jack and a piece of wood(about the size of the tank)..... jack up the floor jack till it is almost pushing on the tank but not too much.... remove the straps and the spout coming from the gas cap.... once it's free lower the floor jack very slowly till there is a clearance between the tank and cab next remove the fuel lines from the top of gas tank and wires from the fuel pump.... then lower jack all the way down and it's out...
