Either:
1) Thermostat is bad
or
2) Radiator is clogged
or
3) if your losing fluid or hearing a noise, check your water pump.
If your not losing fluid or hearing a noise, the service the radiator by having it flushed. If this doesn't solve your problem, then change the thermostat. If your still having the problem then your radiator may need further service or even replacing.
I'm having the same issue right now. I'm replacing my thermostat next. If it still is running hot, I'm going to take the radiator out and have it serviced.
Good luck! And remember, DONT let the temperature get in the red!!
It can be a cause.
Yes, it it possible.
Yes. Yes.
would a cracked blocked cause a car to bubble antifreeze inside the reservoir of a 97 ford taurus ?
Replace the radiator cap with the proper OEM cap. What engine seal are you talking about. If the car is overheating, severe engine damage can occur.
possible hole in hose
It had been raining hard for three days and the river had begun to overflow. The main car park was full, so the cars were directed to the overflow car park.
The line that you fill freon to in a car is known as the fill line. Going past the line can cause overflow, or even damage your vehicle.
in overflow jug
The overflow bottle may overflow if: 1. The car is overheating - this means after the coolant in the radiator gets heated up and expands it flows to the reserve bottle but the radiator doesn't cool down to suck back the coolant from the overflow bottle, but just keeps on sending coolant to the bottle. 2. You may have put excess coolant in the bottle - hence heated coolant from the radiator didn't get enough space.
One situation that the overflow jug would cause an overheat condition would be if the hose and/or connectors were plugged up or blocked. NOTE: before disconnecting anything to do with the radiator, ensure the engine is COOL! The cooling system operates under significant pressure.
The only bubble car I can think of is the Pacer made by AMC (American Motors Corp).
