In British Columbia, the Novice and Learners type driver's licenses prominently display a "Y" indicator that signifies the holder's age. Additionally, the date of birth is clearly printed on the license, allowing for quick verification of the driver's age. The use of distinct colors and layout on these licenses further aids in easily identifying whether the holder is under the legal driving age.
In British Columbia, the Novice (N) and Learners (L) type driver's licenses prominently display the date of birth of the license holder. Additionally, the licenses include a distinctive design and color coding that helps differentiate them from full licenses. For individuals under the age of 19, the "N" or "L" designation indicates that they are novice or learner drivers, making it easier to identify their age category at a glance.
In British Columbia, both the Novice (N) and Learner (L) driver's licenses feature a distinctive red border and a clear indication of the license type. Additionally, the date of birth on the license can be used to determine if the holder is under 19. Specifically, if the birth date indicates they were born on or after a certain year, it is easy to identify them as being underage.

You can use your full UK or any other valid EU licence to drive in Ireland. If you wish to remain in the country then you will need to exchange your licence for an Irish one. Note that this only applies to "FULL" licences, if you have a "provisional" or "learners" licence you will need to do the Driver Theory Test and get a Learner's Permit which is valid for two years but you can only drive if accompanied by the holder of a full licence. As well as EU licences the following full licences can be exchanged for a full Irish licence, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Australia, South Africa, Japan.
Yes, you can. You do not need to be a resident of the same state in which you apply for your learners' and provisional licences, as licence laws are uniform throughout the country. This is why you do not need - and cannot have - a licence for more than one state or territory.
The best place to get the information is directly from the Contractors State Licensing Board. Their website has information about all of the different types of licences they require and how to get them. You can find them at http://www.cslb.ca.gov/
