sounds like a sticking idle air control motor they get a build up of carbon after a while.
Depending on what you damaged and what the vehicle is, you could cause 20K damage to a commercial vehicle at idle speed.
High idle, irregular idle, difficulty in starting the vehicle, etc.
A lack of fuel. Can cause your vehicle not to idle. A dirty fuel filter can cause the same problem. The fuel injection pump can also cause your vehicle to not idle properly.
A serious vacuum leak could cause that.
No, but something that could cause uneven idle could cause the check engine light to turn on.No, but something that could cause uneven idle could cause the check engine light to turn on.
Are there any codes that are coming up? If so then you need to read them. Usually when the vehicle keeps dying it will cause a trouble code. All I can say is that the Idle Air Controller is supposed to regulate the throttle to keep the vehicle running at idle. It could also be a vacuum leak. Just hard to say. This will give you something to check. Good luck. Brad
A vacuum leak could cause that.
Could be the TPS, it will cause it to idle high and low and make the car become sluggish, but a vehicle will run without one, but it will run very rough.
Check the power to your automatic choke and check the choke pulloffs. It sounds as if the fast idle cam is not coming all the way off.
IT could be a faulty transmission or the belt could be grinding up against an unknown source. = )
It can cause a rough idle. And it will also cause the engine to die when coming to a stop at times.
try changing fuel filter first. it could also be the catalytic converter. that can get plugged up and cause your vehicle to lose power.
