none just match the air bag with the original sensors on the car..
A Honda, like other automobiles equipped with airbags, needs to hit something at a certain speed before the airbag deploys. There are several sensors on the body and bumper of the Honda that will trigger the airbag to inflate. The normal range for deployment is 15 to 30 miles per hour for collision to deploy airbags.
Take it somewhere and they will do if for you.. it must be done right or your airbags will go off and other problems
To replace the oxygen sensors on a 2000 Mercury Cougar, you will first need to locate the sensors, which are typically located on the exhaust system near the catalytic converter. You will then need to disconnect the electrical connector and use an oxygen sensor socket to remove the sensor. Before installing the new sensor, make sure to apply anti-seize compound to the threads to prevent seizing in the future. Finally, install the new sensor, reconnect the electrical connector, and clear any error codes using a diagnostic scanner.
Airbags are termed supplemental restraints as they work with a number of other safety mechanisms within a car or vehicle. They operate by a series of steps to deploy the bag, first is that activation of crash sensors which being the engagement of the airbag, second this sends an electrical current to a squib, or inflater that casuses the igniter fluid to over heat and finnaly expands the airbag to take the impact of the passenger.
remove the cable from the battery, follow it to the other end, ground or starter, reverse the same for installing a new one,
The oxygen sensors cost from $50.00 to $100.00 + pending on the make of the vehicle and year. This estimate does not include the labor. In my opinion if it is not affecting other systems in your car, dont bother, just ignore the light, but on some vehicles it prevents the car from actually starting which in that case you will have to replace it. Hope this helps...
The sensors are located on the catalytic converter. There are two of em; one closer to the downpipe and the other in the middle driver side of the cat. They are a pain to get off with the heat shield in the way. Best tool to use is a 22mm open ended heavy wrench. *Do not replace with universal o2 sensors* I know oe sensors are expensive, but you're just gonna have to bite the cost. Universal sensors do not work.

Well first off you have 4 02 sensors on your truck. So what one are you looking to replace. Bank 1 or 2, sensor 1 or 2. You will also need a special socket likley. Other wise a 22mm wrench (7/8 inch is about the same).
If you haven't been trained to work around an airbag, you take the vehicle to the dealer or an other qualified mechanic. Airbags are dangerous and sensitive and can kill you or cause serious injury.
The vehicles computer relies on the information from the 02 sensors and other sensors to adjust the engine for peak performance.
no you do not, but rule of thumb is if one goes out the other one is right behind it, nod nod ,wink ,wink.
