I have a 2000 Cavalier that did the same thing with the DRL, and only one of the lights worked when I put on the headlights manually. Ended up being a burnt-out bulb that I had to replace. No wiring necessary.

The Cavalier DRL recall refers to a safety recall issued for certain models of the Chevrolet Cavalier that were equipped with Daytime Running Lights (DRL). The issue involved a potential malfunction that could lead to the DRL failing to operate correctly, increasing the risk of a crash if the driver was unaware of the lights being off. The recall was initiated to address this safety concern, ensuring that affected vehicles would be repaired to maintain proper lighting functionality. Owners were advised to contact their dealerships for further information and necessary repairs.

The daytime running light (DRL) module on a 2000 Subaru Impreza is located in the engine compartment. It is on the right side as you are facing the windshield near the main fuse box.
The DRL (Daytime Running Lights) relay on a 1997 Chevy Cavalier Z24 is typically located in the fuse box under the dashboard on the driver's side. You may need to remove the cover of the fuse box to access the relays. Look for a relay labeled specifically for DRL or refer to the diagram on the fuse box cover for precise identification. Always ensure the vehicle is off before working on electrical components.
