take heater hoses off the firewall heater box and unbolt heater box on the firewall and then pull heater box down from under the dash and you will see the heater core inside, replace it in the box and bolt everything back together.
go to the Pontiac dealership and see the parts man and he can help you out on that.

An exploded view of a 454 V8 Chevy engine can be found in a Chilton's Automotive Repair Manual for the year and make of Chevy that the engine came from. This manual can be found in some libraries or at automotive parts stores.
Well that usally means you have a rat or mouse nest in your heater vent box. Pretty common if you live near open fields. Take the vent box apart to view any blockage from the heater core to the vent box or a hanger gently down the vent opening see if you pull grass or straw out.
