I received this answer from another forum: It is located as you sit in the drivers seat low on the left side of the engine near the front. (driver's side front with one wire) I don't think it's a true oil pressure sending unit. I think it's just a pressure switch. Seems to me only fords that have a real sending unit is the mustang.

2001 ford excursion v10 what causes oil pressure loss?

Oil pressure loss in a 2001 Ford Excursion with a V10 engine can be caused by several factors, including low oil levels, a failing oil pump, or worn engine bearings. Additionally, a clogged oil filter can restrict oil flow, leading to decreased pressure. It's also possible for oil leaks or a malfunctioning oil pressure sending unit to contribute to the issue.
