Inside the car, the initial release is on the left hand side underneath the fuse panel. Once that is pulled, the release to let the hood raise up is located parallel to the badge, and you pull to the left.
There's two. One under driver dash and one under the hood
it is in the fuse panel under the hood. Located on the drivers side.
The hood release is below the dashboard and to the far left. It will raise the hood just far enough for you to reach under the middle of the front of the hood. Push the release lever there to the left to fully raise the hood.
It is in the fuse box under the hood (at least for the 1997 Subaru Legacy) Also for my 2007 Outback so you can assume that it is in the same place on most, if not all, modern Subarus.
There is none... But Ask the firemen how they open the hood when the engine is on fire & the car is locked...
To replace the low beam headlight on a 2006 Subaru Legacy, first, open the hood and locate the headlight assembly. Remove the plastic cover or dust cap at the back of the headlight, then disconnect the power connector from the bulb. Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to release the old bulb, then insert the new bulb and twist it clockwise to secure it. Reconnect the power connector and replace the cover before closing the hood.
Put a fuse in the circuit labeled "FWD" under the hood on the passenger side.
To replace the headlight bulbs on a 2011 Subaru Legacy, first, open the hood and locate the back of the headlight assembly. Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it, then pull out the old bulb. Insert the new bulb into the socket without touching the glass, twist it back into place, and finally, test the headlights to ensure they are working correctly. Always refer to your owner’s manual for specific instructions and safety precautions.

The hood release is located on the left hand side, under the dash, below the fuse access cover.
There should be a label under hood on radiator support. 19-25 ozs of r 134a refrigerant.
