It's mounted on the front drivers side of the transmission. If you are looking from underneath the car, it is between the transmission and the radiator, it will have 3 wires extending from a rubber boot. There is a rigid hose directly in front of it. You will need a 1" box end wrench to remove it and replace it, as the rigid hose makes using a socket on it very difficult if not impossible to do.
The backup light switch is located on the side of the transmission. It has two wires coming off of it but they are probably covered in wire wrap.

Check fuse and headlight switch itself. The switch and its plug are probably melted.
