The inlet side is the low side - this will have the larger hose. On a Thermal Expansion Valve system, this hose will run from the evaporator outlet to the compressor inlet. On a Fixed Orifice Tube system, this hose will run from the accumulator outlet to the compressor inlet.

The outlet side is the high side, and the hose will run from the compressor outlet to the condenser inlet.

Can you bypass the hi and low plugs on a 95 Chevy s10 ac copressor?

You can but you will destroy the compressor and send metal junk all through the ac system. The hi and low pressure switches are there for a reason.

Where is the low side of the air conditioner of a 2002 Dodge Intrepid to replace refrigerant?

Follow the tubes from your ac compressor, the low pressure connector for the r134a freon is larger than the hi pressure connector and should be near the accumulator.

Can't locate the ac recharge valve 96 passat?

You are looking for the low pressure side valve. Follow the pipes from the compressor and with R-134a systems the hi and low pressure valves are idiot proof so you can not connect your recharge hose to the wrong valve

Where is the low pressure port on a 1998 Chevy blazer ac system?

The low pressure port is not located on the compressor. It is on the accuator cannister to the left (looking into engine compartment)( a metal silver finished object) with a capped black fitting pointing outward toward the passenger side fender. Previous answer from 'Sue' was correct except for misnaming the cannister/accuator as a compressor. Make sure you've found the low pressure port! Have a mechanic point it out to you just to be certain. Hi, The low pressure port is located on the air compressor. Open the hood and you should be able to easily see the compressor- it's the noticible silver cylindrical-shaped metal body on the left with hoses coming off of it. The low pressure port should be on the left side of the compressor, and it will have a black plastic cover on it. It's the only port on the compressor with no hoses coming off of it. Sue

Where are the high and low pressure ac connections under the hood located on a 1993 Volvo 850 glt?

What causes your home AC compressor to keep getting too hot and quit cooling?

Defective pressure switch not cutting out on hi-head pressure The compressor depends on the suction line for coolong the motor, if its low on freon then the suction line will not be cool enough to cool motor windings.

Which port do you charge freon from the hi side or low side?

You would charge it from the low side port.

How can you recharge the ac in a 2007 Chevy uplander?

Hi First off did you fix the leak? next you must evacuate the system with a vacume pump and then add freon 134A if your system is just low on freon it will automatically stop running. you can check that by taking the electrical connection off the big silver cylinder called the dryer off and jumping the connection. if your compressor comes on then you have low refrigerant that's when you hook up the cans of freon from the store to the low side of the system the fat hose the connector will only fit the low side. with the freon connected start the system and if the compressor does not come on you will have to jump that connection on the dryer to help suck in freon. Remember to follow the directions on the package to refill the ac system. Good Luck

How to see if ac low on freeon?

You need someone with a set of AC manifold gauges to attach to the Hi and Low service ports and monitor the pressures to determine how much if any freon is needed.

Where is the low pressure fill port on a 1990 Jeep Cherokee?

How do you find the low pressure side from a window unit air condition?

Hi: The low pressure side is the biggest line going to or fro the compressor. It will always connect directly to the cooling coil. Be careful, as that the lines can contain quiet a bit of pressure and expecially if you tap into the wrong one at the wrong time while unit is running. At any rate,,,, you didn't ask but how to identify the low pressure line and now you have your answer. Hope this is usefull to you. Jimiwane
