Drain the radiator into a container. Remove the upper hose at the engine end. Remove the 2 bolts in the thermostat housing and remove the thermostat. Clean the surfaces and install the thermostat and housing. Install the upper hose and refill the radiator.
The thermostat for a 1999 Chevy Camaro V6 engine can be found under the hood. It is in the right side of the engine, under the throttle sensor.

at the engine side of top radiator hose. it goes to the thermostat housing,remove the housing and it's right there
