To replace the vapor canister valve on a 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, start by locating the valve, which is typically found near the fuel tank or on the charcoal canister. Disconnect the electrical connector and any vacuum lines attached to the valve. Remove the mounting bolts or clips securing the valve, then install the new valve by reversing the removal process, ensuring all connections are secure. Finally, clear any diagnostic trouble codes and test for proper operation.
