To find the cause of the low beams not working, start with the bulb to make sure both are ok. Check the dimmer switch, and the wiring from the switch to the headlights.
Headlights that serve as a high and low beam have two different filiments in them. The low beam filiment is most likely burnt out. Time to replace it.
you will probably have to replace the headlight switch.
both my lowbeam headlights aren't working although high beam and parking lights do. probably aloose connection. any ideas how i can fix it sal
You didn't mention if you checked/tested the low beam headlamps or not.
To adjust the headlights on a 1998 Eclipse, first park the car on a level surface about 10-25 feet from a wall. Turn on the headlights and mark the center of the beam on the wall with tape. Then, using a screwdriver, adjust the vertical and horizontal alignment screws located on the headlight assembly until the top of the beam is at or just below the tape mark and the beam is centered horizontally. Finally, check both headlights to ensure they are aligned correctly.
Check the main headlight fuse. Check the start button, it interrupts power to the headlights. If the high beam indicator and the gauge lights are out it could be this switch.
A reset button for headlights?
With your low beam headlights on , pull the headlight control towards you
Any light can burn out, no matter how unlikely it may be that both low beam lights cease working simultaneously.
First have you replaced the bulbs in it and there not working or do you need to know how to replace them
i was wondering whether the switch at the parking brake could affect this problem.
TRY CHECKING TO SEE IF YOU HAVE A HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHT OUT. tHIS WILL CAUSE THE PROBLEM YOU HAVE.
