why does my door ajar alarm keep coming on and off while driving my car.
It allows you to sit in the car with doors locked and stops the alarm going off while still in the vehicle
You have to program the alarm in order to get it to stop going off by either doing it yourself or by giving whoever is coming into your house the code. You can also contact the alarm company in order to get it to stop ringing.
use your key fob to unlock the door, even if it appears to be un- locked, then start it
This is a common failure on 201 and 123 chassis. Check the hood switch is closing. Check the trunk closes fully. The drivers door lock is often faulty. If it still goes off, disconnect the alarm module...located under the passengers foot well relay cover. New modules are over $500.00.If you have an alarm that is set buy turning the key to lock the door you need to open the same door you locked to take the alarm off. If you unlock the passanger door, trunk or rear doors after locking the driver side door the alarm will go crazy. To get it to turn off, lock and unlock the door you first locked before the alarm went off.
Pull the horn fuse - two fuses right of fuse 13.
If your alarm keeps going off in a 2002 Mountaineer despite all doors being locked, it could be due to a malfunctioning door sensor or a faulty alarm system. Sometimes, the system may also be triggered by a weak battery in the key fob or issues with the vehicle's electrical components. Additionally, if the alarm is set to a sensitive mode, it might react to vibrations or environmental factors. Checking the manual or consulting a professional may help diagnose the specific issue.
my alarm keeps going of and wont start.
First of all, it is not the clock that is going off, it is the alarm. The alarm is not coming on, as the alarm has already been set but is just activating. To "go off" means to be discharged or activated, but that still is not the answer, since "go on" should mean to activate. One would think that it just became a slang term to say "the alarm clock is turning off" or going off could be something to signify a lack of restraint (Dad went off me yesterday for burning down the shed).
its under the drivers side dashboard above the petals (if you have sunroof) there are two rectangles that have fuses in them they just dangle there one of them is for the sunroof one is for the alarm (if no sunroof) then there is only one of them dangling i found that out when my alarm keep going off every 5 min
Mine does the same thing. I'm having my battery checked today. Someone told me that may be what the problem is.
It's your passlock light. My 2005 Cobalt LT's light started coming on even when I was in motion. Idk why, but there's always some kind of electrical malfunction going on with those cars. smh. But if you set your alarm, or even lock your doors, that light should blink (if working properly) to let you know that your car is securely locked.
snip the wire going to the alarm.
