The American Automobile Association (AAA) recommends changing your hand positions on the steering wheel to enhance control and reduce fatigue while driving. This practice allows for better maneuverability and responsiveness, especially during turns and sudden stops. Additionally, varying hand positions can help distribute muscle strain and improve overall driving comfort, leading to a safer driving experience.

you will need a special tool called a steering wheel puller. they are needed to compress the rings around the column and wheel and release it so you can remove the main nut.
used to be 10 & 2 but NOW : it's 8 & 4
a steering wheel puller is quite inexpensive and is the best way to remove the steering wheel I wouldn't recommend trying any other way.
i had problems in my 95 to but you have to remove the steering wheel in order to get the switch off
I understand it is now 4 and 8 because of the air bag.
As I understand it! you turn the steering wheel to lock positions both ways a few times and keep checking fluid during the process, Car running of course! Did you change the hose? if so what and how did you do it? thanks, Ben nebage@gmail.com
I would recommend leaving that job for the pro's.
Tires or wheels out of balance?
I understand it is now 4 and 8 because of the air bag.
A person needs a steering wheel puller to remove a steering wheel. It will help remove the steering wheel by putting pressure on the middle and by pulling up on the rest of the steering wheel.
A steering wheel on a sail boat is still called a steering wheel.
