The flexible exhaust pipe just below the engine is broke. When the transmission is shifted from reverse or to drive there will be a noticeable change. The 12 inch flex pipe needs to be cut out and a new piece welded in. The cost would be about 75.00 to125.00 depending on labor rates where you live. The actual part is about 35.00.
If your 93 Nissan Maxima will not go into reverse at all, your transmission is either getting ready to go out or you are low on transmission fluid. You should check your transmission fluid first before messing with the actual transmission.
I am facing the same exact problem with my Nissan Altima 2000. Did you find the solution?
its not that it gets slow as i quiets down. actually it doesn't quiet down at all, your ears adjust to the noise level, and the tractor still runs at the same speed.
The Nissan Leaf is the fastest car in reverse. For safety purposes, a stock Nissan Leaf is electronically limited in how fast it can go in reverse. With the limit removed, it has gone about 55 miles/hour in reverse and it set the world record for fastest car in reverse. Most cars are physically limited in how fast they can go in reverse by the transmission, as reverse is roughly equivalent to first gear. The Nissan Leaf has no transmission, instead it has a motor that can put out high torque over a wide range of speeds, making a transmission unnecessary.
first check fuses, then bulbs, then reverse switch on trans mission,it might need replacing, its screw into your transmission.
Electrical - check voltage to "reverse" selonid. With my knowledge on Nissans, it could also be a transmission problem. If it is a 5-speed, it is more than likely the tranny. Reverse is the gear that goes out first most of the time
pull the lever back to the "H" position. if it doesnt shift put your truck in reverse and pull back about a foot or so then put it back in drive and it should work. if all that fails it is broke. come to a complete stop, then put it in neutral and it should knock right out of low. If that doesnt work try reverse. answer if that doesnt work, unlock the front hubs then put in high, doesnt mean it is broke as first answer suggests
If your switch doesnt open the trunk, more than likely the switch in the glove box is turned off. Check that first.
The rear wheel bearing, on a Nissan Maxima, can be removed by first removing the rear wheel. Next, remove the axle cover. Slide the wheel bearing off of the axle. Reverse the process to install the new wheel bearing.
I have your answer for you. I talked to Nissan about this before. First of all, the 2001 Nissan Pathfinder doesnt have a timing belt. It has a timing chain. And Nissan doesnt set a life to these components. It is pretty much ment to last a long time and when it does go. then you need to replace it. Sounds odd but that is what the mechanic at Nissan told me. when it goes it will warp the valves and possible the pistons will hit the head and just destroy the engine. what to listen for when u need the timing chain replaced is metel slapping something or should i say like it isn't oiling properly. i would have it checked out every 60,000 miles.
The Nissan Cherry was first introduced in 1970. It was Nissan's first front-wheel drive car. The Nissan Cherry was in production for a short period of time since it was introduced and remained until 1986.
put him in first then switch him out so he doesnt get hurt put him in first then switch him out so he doesnt get hurt put him in first then switch him out so he doesnt get hurt
