you have a short somewhere likely bare wire coming in contact with steel and this drains battery.
use a scanner, or unhook battery.
I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM ON MY 1994 VANDEM plas. It was my altenator belt was not tight enough to maintain a full charge. It took me two years to find the problem. It can also be the battery has a dead cell which will drain it overnight. Can also be some light is staying on and pulling power from the battery. Also a stuck relay will drain the battery. Loose or corroded connections is another possibility.
Dead cell in the battery or some light is on pulling power from the battery. A stuck relay can also run the battery down.
possible battery drain, either bad wiring or alternator issue.
Good chances are, the alternator is not connected correctly or is defective.
It is under the battery tray on the bellhousing for the tranny.
If you are out of gas or something and keep cranking the starter then yes sooner or later you are going to drain your battery. Age of the battery is a factor, the older the battery the less time you get. Also the temperature if it is below zero out you get a lot less time.
Rather than assume, why not check the alternator? If an alternator is not functioning properly, the battery can only remain fully charged if the alternator replaces the electrical energy that has been used. Test the system to determine if there is an electrical drain, but start with the alternator first.
the alternator supplies power to the distributer, the battery gives power the the alternator
On a 1994 Saturn SC2, the ignition wires typically include a red wire for the battery, a yellow wire for the starter, and a brown wire for the ignition. The red wire provides constant power, the yellow wire activates the starter motor when the key is turned, and the brown wire supplies power to the ignition system. It's essential to refer to a wiring diagram specific to your vehicle for accuracy and safety when working on ignition wiring.
Sorry, no drain plug. You have to drop the pan, change the filter, clean the old gasket from the mating surfaces and add a new gasket whenever you change the transmission oil.
in my 95 z28 there was a short in the power drivers seat. so if you have a power seat unplug that. it was a problem in the 93 to 95. ======================================== i got a 94 too. the clock and radio run after you take the key out until you open the door. Even if the clock stays on the whole time, it probably isn't enough to drain your battery. have somebody with a wand check it for shorts, you might also just need a new battery.
