It's the same with all vehicle engine starting troubles... the problem is one of the following:
* Compression * Fuel * Ignition Use a compression gauge to check the compression.
Use starting fluid to see if the engine will start that way.
Pull a plug wire, connect it to a spare plug and lay it on a metal surface of the engine then "crank" the engine to see if there is a strong spark, and use a timing light to verify timing.
Eliminate whatever ISN't the problem and whatever is left IS the problem.
It doesn't matter if the engine is an old 49 Studebaker or a 2009 Lamborghini...
If the engine has compression, fuel and a proper ignition supplied at the right timing, the engine MUST run. It's simple physics.
what is wrong when the truck just turn over and want start.
Check your fuel filter
The wire has a shortage in it
Check fuel Check spark
Yes.
my first thought would be to check the starter . if you can tap on the starter and it starts after that..you have a bad starter .
Fuel pressure? spark?
The most common reason for a vehicle not to turn over is a bad alternator. If the alternator is not charging the battery the engine will not start, regardless of the battery age.
Does it turn over? Does it turn over?
Your truck will not turn over when the key is turned if the battery is dead, the ignition switch has failed, or the starter is bad. All can be readily repaired at a local mechanic or dealership.
I dont know what causes this, but my '98 Navi was doing the same thing. All I did was turn the ignition over, but not all the way (dont start the truck). Hold it in that position for about 5-10 seconds and then turn it over completely. The theft light will stop blinking and you should be able to start the vehicle.
Will turn over but will not start
