A rotten egg odor may indicate a dead rodent or animal in or near the ventilation system, whether in a house or car.
If its a sweet smell you may have a heater core leak and the fan is blowing antifreeze thru the vents. If its a moldy rotten smell you have mold growing in your vents. This happens when the moisture does not drain properly causing mold. You can purchase a spray at most auto parts store to kill and stop this and refresh your air vent system.
The rotten smell comes from the cabin air filter. i have the same smell and it is on my list to get my 2000 v-6 sonata back up to par.

There is NO SMELL in my bathroom as all my fixture traps are in place and all fixtures are individually vented and I installed a 4" vent terminal to prevent hoarfrost and the FAI is high enough above grade to allow for free circulation of air
