If your 6V92 engine runs but won't idle, it could be due to several issues, including a dirty or malfunctioning idle air control valve, fuel delivery problems, or a vacuum leak. Check the fuel filters and lines for clogs or leaks, and inspect the throttle linkage for proper operation. Additionally, ensure that the engine's sensors, such as the mass airflow sensor or throttle position sensor, are functioning correctly. If these components are in good condition, consider having the engine's timing and compression checked.
I have 200,+ miles on the car. I change the plugs and wires yet it runs rough at idle and runs smooth at crusing speed. What can i do?
the engine runs at a faster rate than when the idle speed is lower.
Fuel injectors
30 or 40 weight oil should be used.
your truck wont idle correctly when its cold, because its cold...and nothing runs correctly when it's cold. your truck wont idle correctly when its cold, because its cold...and nothing runs correctly when it's cold.
More than likely it's your Idle Control Valve.
Check for a major vacuum leak.
yes it runs off vaccum from the engine, it only works when the car is at cruising speed, not at idle or flat foot.
check the pcv valve and hoses if there is a vacuum leak here it wont idle
My 89 jeep Cherokee surges at idle and sometimes stalls but runs fine once you are going what could cause this?
you need the fast idle adjusted on the engine you may have idle set where it sounds fine in idle but not high enuff when dropped in gear.
jerking speed 40 50
