If the bolt is simply too tight, a longer wrench or extending the wrench with a pipe may help. Penetrating oils like WD40, 3 in 1 oil, Liquid Wrench, or the like are often helpful. If the bolt is seized/rusted, penetrating oils (as above) are helpful (let sit for a while if possible). Tapping carefully with a hammer can aid the penetrating oil and help loosen the bolt. Also, heating the area surrounding the bolt with a torch (when safe) helps. Conversely, cooling the bolt itself, as with compressed gas products, can also help. If the bolt is broken, then either an 'easy-out' product (available at most parts stores) is necessary or drilling out the bolt and retapping the hole is necessary. If the nut won't come off the bolt, then a nut splitter is very effective.

Have you loosened the retaining bolt? That is the bolt that holds the distributor in place.
