It could, but then, it could be a lot of other things as well. Don't replace parts just hoping that you'll solve the problem.
First, run a diagnostic scan. See if the computer knows anything. If that doesn't give you anything valuable, try using a little starting fluid to see if the engine will start briefly that way.
If it has a crank sensor then it must be computer controlled, and the computer knows more about what's going on than you could, just by guessing.
Seriously, don't just throw parts at the problem, since everything you touch introduces the potential that something didn't get put back just right.
If it was running before and now it's not, you typically only have one major problem that caused the failure. Find out what that is before you throw parts at it.
when the car wont start, but it will crank. but it could be other stuff too. its not just that.
check to see if your tack is not jumping it could be a bad ref sensor
Depends on the motor, 4cyl or V6, but it could be the ignition module, or the crank sensor
It could be your coil but then again I would have to see it to know.
If the 93 Stealth came with a crank sensor but it does not have one now, then it will not start. The sensor shows the ignition coil when to send power to the spark plugs.
change the crank position sensor
Check the cars ignition coil and crank sensor. Either of these could be overheating and causing the car to not start until it sits for a while.
check crank angle sensor
Have you replaced the cam and/or crank sensor?
Get car scanned for codes at most parts stores for free. Could be a CPS crank position sensor or cam position sensor. If crank sensor is bad, will not start. Get codes checked first.
Try the crank sensor/cam sensor. It will ack like it is out of gas when it acts up, may start fine then suddenly it will ack like it is out of gas.
crank sensor is bad
