This is a difficult question to , because the truth is for most of us it takes another set of eyes to check for accuracy. Good work habits and developing ways to cross-check your work are good things to bring up.

Still, for people in accounting and other detailed work they are expecting more of an exact promise that all will be perfect. You might question them in return regarding how errors are managed within the organization to see if they are a good fit for you. I find that encouragement and a let's fix it attitude are the most constructive things a workplace personality can have.

Being 'attentive to detail' means having the ability to keep detailed and accurate records of all things relevant to your work. In my case, I unload trucks and track all the material from the moment it get's delivered, as it goes through our 'saw shop' and gets cut to length, then to another area where that material is put through a 'lathe' then once it has passed inspection it then goes to the shipping department and prepared for the customer. And I do it all by using 'tracking numbers'. These numbers can be found on delivery receipts, packing lists and bills of lading that tell me everything I need to know from how much I received, total weight, total footage, dimensions, grade of material and composite. There are also a variety of safety issues that must be adhered to. Being 'attentive' to the different phases of the production process and how it works gives you 'detailed' insights enabling you to enhance 'accuracy' in the work place and doing it using numbers.

In my line of work, attention to detail is everything. We build custom luxury tender boats, and all the work is done in-house, and involves a great deal of communication and planning between shipwrights, engineers , electricians, painters, and upholsterers, etc. They absorb thousands of manhours in a very limited space, so co- operation is essential.
