Their is a "jump start" connector under the hood. Near pass shock tower, near belts. You have to open the plastic cover labeled "jumpstart". Hook negative up to bolt on motor mount.
Start "live" vehicle
Connect + cable from "live" vehicle to + battery terminal on "dead" vehicle
Connect - cable from "live" vehicle to good engine ground on "dead" vehile
Let vehicles sit for about 5 minutes allowing "live" to charge "dead"
Try to start "dead" vehicle
If yours is like my 98, and the battery is under the backseat, there is a little black box on the top of the wheel well inside the engine compartment on the left side. It has a + sign on it. Flip up the plastic lid. This is the positive terminal. Hook up the negative to the engine or frame for a ground. This is how you jump it, or put a boost pack on it to start the car. I have been told, never to boost another car with this method. It will damage the battery and/or car. Only boost another car with a Riviera by hooking up directly to the battery. You will need long cables. LOL
Illustrate how to jump start a 2004 buick lesabre
look on passenger side, front fender. Should see a small red box, flip it open.
To jump-start a 1999 Buick Riviera, you'll need jumper cables and another vehicle with a functioning battery. First, park the working vehicle close enough for the cables to reach both batteries. Connect the red cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery, then to the positive terminal of the good battery. Next, connect the black cable to the negative terminal of the good battery and attach the other end to a metal ground on the dead vehicle, then start the working vehicle and allow it to charge the dead battery for a few minutes before attempting to start the Riviera.
If it jump starts, the problem is probably either the battery or a corroded battery connection terminal.
A 1996 Buick Regal will jump start using a portable battery pack. Another person can also use jumper cables to help jump start another car.

as long as you place the positive to the positive and the negative to the frame of the car with the good battery, you can jump start any car.
Most GM vehicles use side terminal batteries. To jump start one, you connect the + cable to the + side post, and the -Neg to the engine.
Yes, you can jump-start a Buick Lucerne without removing the seat. The battery is located in the trunk, so you'll need to access it through the trunk area. Simply connect the jumper cables to the battery terminals in the trunk and then to the donor vehicle's battery, following standard jump-starting procedures.
You need another vehicle. Find a friend with a car and ask if he has jumper cables. if they have them they can assist.
Not enough power to starter, jump it and then ensure alternator is good. Also check battery condition.
