balance your front wheels is the first thing to do. take it to a tyre shop and they can do it for about 10 bucks each wheel. it will only take 5 mins per wheel too. then if it still happens take it to a mechanic because the ball joints, wheel bearings, strut bushes could be worn. and if you don't know what you are doing you could damage the car and make it unsafe.
Front end wobble at high speeds in a vehicle can be caused by issues such as unbalanced tires, worn suspension components, misaligned wheels, or steering system problems. These issues can lead to instability in the front end of the vehicle, resulting in wobbling or shaking at high speeds.
== == As the car speeds up the unbalanced wheels start to wobble. The force of the wobble is transferred to the cars body through the steering mechanism. You would feel the shaking first in the steering wheel. It becomes more pronounced as you pick up speed. == == * Front end need's religning, bad tires or tie-rods. * Tires are low in air.
Only at low speeds, or worst at low speeds? Either way it's probably a bad front tire. Failing that, bad front wheel rim or front wheel rim not properly secured to the hub.
Worn sterring and suspension parts. Put it on a rack and inspect all parts.
You have a damaged tire. Try rotating the front tires with the rear tires to see if the wobble switches to the back.
The front wheels of a car can wobble because the car's suspension is not in proper alignment. The wheels may also wobble if the rim is bent or if the tire is improperly installed
yes it did.
broken belt in a tire. if you feel it in the steering wheel it usually a front tire or a rear if you can feel it in the seat
It means your front tires need balancing
The problem could be caused by several things. Check the front end for worn ball joints or tie rod ends. Check the wheel bearings, front brakes, and make sure that the front tires are balanced and the lug nuts are tight.
Does the wobble occur at all speeds or just low or just high speeds? Is it a front wobble or rear or both? Does it occur all the time or just intermittantly? The problems could be with steering neck bearings, wheel bearings, out of true rims, a bad spot in the tire or an out of balance tire, swingarm bearings, improperly assembled tire/rim/axle. these are the first places to look when approaching this problem with the info you gave. Unless you mean speed wobble, where an entirely different set of dynamics are involved there!!!
Worn tie rod ends. Jack up the front of your vehicle and see if your front tires have some play horizontally. If they wobble horizontally then its likely tie rod ends and if they wobble vertically its your ball joints. Apparently it can be quite dangerous to drive like that. I have to replace mine in the morning.
