Look on the front timing cover. If it says 7MGE it is non turbo, if it says 7MGTE it is a turbo. You can look on back below taillights for turbo emblem. The turbo motors also usually have a black plastic cover over the front of the motor that says turbo. Easy way is look on left side of motor where the exhaust is to see if there's a turbo or not.
An car with a turbo installed.
no if u take a turbo out of a car it is no longer a turbo charged car
The flywheel for the FWD tranny should have 6 bolts. The turbo flywheel has 100 teeth and the nonturbo should have 106. The AWD flywheel should have 7 bolts.
A turbo When one of your car's add-on's, eg. alternator, power steering pump extr, start to developt a bearing defect. The car will sound as if you have a turbo in. to determine witch part is starting to fail, open the hood and listen. Use a long screwdriver, put the handle against your ear and press the metal point on the housings of the different parts when the car is idling. Just like a docter use a stetoscope.
short and simple answer. You cant, and if you do you just come across simply as a wannabee and tryhard, and pretty much just make yrself look like a big fool in the process. There are only 3 ways to get that sound 1 engine swap, get a turbo engine, take yr non turbo engine out,put turbo one in 2 part with 3 grand or more and get a turbo kit 3 buy a proper turbo car, dont try turn yr car into something its not, whether you have a sound like a blowoff valve on it,you know within yrself your not driving a turbo car,yr only a wannabee thats pretending to have a turbo when your in a non turbo. The more sensible option is do it properly, keep yr dignity, dont look like a bloody idiot pretending you have a turbo when you dont.
