Most likely the guide on the bottom of the regulator broke. take the door apart and check. most likely, you need a new window regulator.
Take door panel off. and put window back on track.
It probably hasn't fallen off the track. The part of the window regulator that attaches to the window is probably broken. Mine did the same thing. I took the window and regulator out of the car and epoxied the part back together and then reinstalled it. Been over a year now and still working fine.
Had the same issue on my 1993. You need to take the door panel off to access the nuts and bolts that are used to mount the window to the guide.
A Dodge Durango window motor can be ordered from any auto parts store. The prices for the window motors will vary depending on the year of the Durango.
Take the door apart to see what the problem is. If it's a power window, either the mechanism broke, the motor failed, or most likely, the switch is bad.
Go to the junk yard and and buy the window with the plastic guide attached to it for about $70. Otherwise, it will cost you about $430 at the dealership and about $175 at some glass vednor plus another $100 for installation.
Must replace window regulatorhttp://www.ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/repair-topics/window-power-repair/replace-a-power-window-motor-regulator
Remove the inside door panel. The entire power window mechanism will be visible. Put the window back onto the window track.
I was qouted $217.95 plus tax to replace a shattered driver window.
Were is the power window fuse and/or circuit breaker located in a 1999 dodge durango?
I would remove the door panel and have a look at what's going on in there the window has obviously popped out of the guide.
