Remove all spark plugs and turn it over to blow the water out. Change the oil/filter, install the plugs and start it up.
Hydro or hydraulically locked.
i would be looking at the head gasket, if it wont start the engine could be hydro-locked meaning the cylinders could be filled with antifreeze. probably not any long term damage if this is the case.
Engine is likely Hydro-Locked from ingesting water while running. Remove the spark plugs and try to crank the engine.
siezed enginetime for an engine rebuild
your engine has locked up kid
the fact that an engine is locked up may be caused by the fact that the engine is in fact locked up
Unless you ran it out of oil and the engine is locked up, it is not the oil.
my 2004 neon will not turn over after i tried to start it without the key has the computer locked me out also engine light blinks when key is on.
if motor is seized you will never get it to start sized means it is locked up and will not tuen .either rebuild engine or get a new engine
Either your transmission is in gear or locked up, kick starter assembly has become dislodged in the case, your clutch is incredibly out of whack, or your engine is locked up.
If the engine was hydro-locked, there may be bent connecting rods, which will cause low compression on affected cylinders. You need to do a compression test. Remember also, if the water got into the cylinders via the air cleaner inlet, the air filter may be saturated with water, which will cause it not to breathe. You may need a new air filter, check that. Also if that is the path that the water took to get in, it would have had to pass through the MAF sensor, which may have damaged it, or it could still be waterlogged. That should be enough to get you started in the right direction, I really can't think of anything else, unless of course, the reason the engine was hydro-locked was that coolant got in by way of a blown headgasket, and you still have a headgasket problem.
with proper maintance it just keeps going and going. I have seen 7.3L with 1 million miles. the last fleet i was with we had 120 with 500,000 plus miles. Out of the 120 we only had to put in one engine. some one hydro locked it in water.
