From under the frame rails.
Drop the fuel tank or unbolt the bed and slide it back enough so you can access the pump.
1. Unbolt engine mounts at the frame. 2. Raise motor about 2 inches. 3. Unbolt the pan and slide back. You will the have access to oil pickup tube. 4. Unbolt pickup tube, drop it in the pan and remove it.

If it is the same as the 1993 version, there will be screws/bolts in the back of the bed that you can unscrew/unbolt and u should be able to get at the tail-lights from there.
A 2005 Ford pickup bed is about 5.6 foot long. This is a normal size bed not a long bed.

It is best to remove the bed. Just unbolt and slide back a couple of feet. Don't forget to unhook filler neck. I have found this to be the simplest way.
