It depends on the conditions of your probation
If you drink and drive and pick up a DWI or worse DUI, then you are in violation of your probation. However, if it was not specified otherwise in your original court papers, then drinking should not be a violation of your felony probation.
It is 21, with exceptions as provided by state law.
You get sent back to prison, if "no drinking" was one of the terms of your probation.
That depends on state law, doesn't it? In Georgia it's not a "crime" for a person on probation to have archery equipment, but it MIGHT BE a violation of the terms and conditions of their probation. Just like an adult over 21 drinking beer or hanging around a bar-- it's not illegal, but it probably is a violation of probation that can get the person in trouble with the probation officer and the judge that imposed the probation as part of the sentence. If you're on probation and a term of your probation is "no weapons" then I'd say to stay away from bows and arrows too. They are probably considered weapons even if you only intend to use them for the sport of target practice.
Alcoholic drinking is not social drinking.
Get the alcoholic to stop drinking.
Once an individual is released on a Probation Order the Order will include certain stipulations such as: "You must not possess/consume any alcohol or intoxicating substances" ... This type of a condition may only be laid if the originating offense was directly influenced by the level of intoxication of the accused. Probation orders are case by case so it is possible that a person can drink any alcoholic beverage while on probation. If said individual is provided with a condition to not possess/consume any alcohol or other intoxicating substances then it would be arguable that, them drinking a .5 % alcoholic beverage, is not an intoxicant.
outlawed the making or drinking of alcoholic beverages
The answer is that a non-alcoholic given a substantial reason (i.e.- spouse, kids, job, probation, health) , can and will stop drinking and not start again. Certain text-books describe three different types of drinkers. The problem drinker is described as a person that, when drinking, experiences difficulties they would not have if they were not drinking. The next type of drinker is a "hard drinker" who may consume a large volume of alcohol on a regular basis but given a sufficient reason to cease drinking will stop. The real alcoholic will continue drinking regardless of the what is at stake in regards to financial security, personal relationships, or his/her own health.
It depends on their charges and the terms of their probation. It will be specifically listed in the court papers if they may not. If this is something that the person on probation does as a profession, they need to directly address this with the judge at the time of the sentencing.
If you do not drink you cannot be an alcoholic. The term "alcoholic" refers to one who cannot control his/her drinking habits. By keeping yourself from drinking, you refrain from becoming and alcoholic.
If your a felon you cant drink.
