There are several things that can cause your 1991 Dodge Neon to stall when making a left-hand turn. The most common cause will be a loose or corroded ground wire.
Your 99 Neon may stall because the battery moves to one side when you turn. You should try tightening your battery cables.
With the engine running, remove the fuse or the relay for the fuel pump. The engine will stall soon and the fuel line won't have any pressure left.
what year is the CLK? Most known reason for that car to stall would be the crank position sensor (CKP) its located on the left (drivers side) of the transmission bell housing, and can be accessed from the top. The easiest way to tell if that sensor is bad, is if the engine stalled when it was hot/warmed up, and then would not restart until the engine cooled off. Could also be a fuel pump issue, but the crank sensor is much more common.
A car may stall during a sharp left turn due to several reasons, including fuel starvation if the fuel pump or fuel lines are malfunctioning, as the fuel may slosh away from the fuel pickup. Additionally, the engine could be struggling due to issues with the ignition system, like faulty spark plugs or a failing battery. Another possibility is a problem with the transmission or power steering system, which can affect engine performance under heavy steering loads. Lastly, a low idle speed might not provide enough power to keep the engine running during the maneuver.
This is a symptom of a few problems. Most likely is a fuel issue. What type of car and how consistent is the stall?
Vapor lock can cause the fuel in a car's fuel lines to vaporize, leading to a disruption in fuel flow to the engine. This can result in engine stalling, difficulty starting the car, and potential engine damage if left unresolved.
your gas tank is sitting too high and when you turn the fuel goes to one side and doesnt get to the engine happend to me
I had a ford that had the distributor in the front of the engine. When it rained alot the water thru the radiator hit the distributor and the engine died if I let the RPMs drop.I bought a new distributor cap and rotor and sealed the front half of the rim with RTV.I left the back unsealed so if could drain if got wet inside.
It is possible. A more likely cause is the gas cap was replaced incorrectly or left off after getting gas
