Tires may need to be balanced.
possibilityThe car is out of alignment or you have a wheel out of balance.
problem with your transmission in 5th gear
have your front tires rebalanced.
Tires out of balance, bent wheel, or defective tire.
tension on the motor causes a slight vibration in the on the frame of the vehicle
Check the wheel balance
Usually that's caused by out of balance wheels. Take the vehicle to your tire store and have the wheels balanced. If that's not it, take it to a good suspension shop (not a tire store, I don't care what they say) and have it checked by someone who only does suspension and steering.
My guess would be wheel balance.
It's almost always a wheel balance problem. Take the vehicle to your tire store and have the wheels rotated and balanced using a SPIN balancer. The cheap "bubble" balancer does almost no good.
A Jeep Commander may shake at 60 mph due to several potential issues, such as unbalanced tires, misaligned wheels, or worn-out suspension components. Additionally, problems with the driveshaft or faulty wheel bearings could contribute to the vibration. It's important to have the vehicle inspected by a mechanic to diagnose and address the underlying cause for safety and performance. Regular maintenance can help prevent such issues.
Is based on vehicle weight and road conditions. you also have to figure in the reaction time of the driver, condition of the brakes, tires, and vehicle overall. however you can figure that at 60 mph a vehicle will travel one mile per minute
Usually that's caused by tires that are out of balance or bent rims.
