There is NO width number 10. -This may help you understand your tire numbers - -
My van tires are - - P215/65R15 95H.
- That P means it's a passenger vehicle tire,- 215 is tread width in millimeters,
- 65 is the aspect ratio, it's a wide oval. ( 75 means it's rounder in cross section)
- R means it's a Radial
- 15 means it fits a 15" rim.
- 95 -is it's load range, and in the ISO/Metric Standards list '95' means each tire can support 1500 pounds weight.
- H - The final letter is it's 'speed rating' , and again in the ISO/metric system, 'H' means it's rated at speeds up to 130 mph.

That is the tire profile or section width. The number is a metric figure standing for the width of the tire in millimeters.
To determine the width of a tire, you can look at the sidewall of the tire where the size information is usually printed. The width is typically indicated in millimeters and is the first number listed in the tire size. You can also measure the width of the tire using a ruler or tape measure if the size information is not visible.
It's the first number of the tire designation stamped on the side.
Look on the side of the tire and you will see a set of number such as 195/50 17R. The first number, in this case 195, is the tread width in millimeters.
If it's the number at the start of the tire ID ( eg 175/70/R/13 ) then it's the width in millimetres.
You must know the answer is NO. Not necessarily true, we're talking about width I assume, the section width of the tire 10" in this case is measured at the widest part of the tire. The bead, the part of the tire that sits on the wheel, is significantly narrower. Just as an example P245/55R20, which is a 10" wide tire lists the apporved rim width as 7.0"-9.0", so depending on the exact size it is very possible that your 10" wide tire could go on a 7" wide rim.
A tire size of 33x10x15 indicates a tire with a diameter of 33 inches, a width of 10 inches, and a rim diameter of 15 inches. This size is often used in off-road and larger vehicles, and it corresponds to a metric size of approximately 285/75R15. The first number (285) represents the tire's width in millimeters, while the second number (75) is the aspect ratio, indicating the height of the sidewall as a percentage of the width.

To determine the size of a bicycle tire, look for the numbers printed on the sidewall of the tire. The first number indicates the tire's diameter, while the second number represents the tire's width. For example, a tire with the numbers 26 x 2.0 means it has a 26-inch diameter and a 2.0-inch width.
