If you are talking about internal combustion engines I would imagine the Wankle or "rotary" engine, as it has the fewest number of moving parts and keeps a consistent direction of movement. However all engines rely on the maintenance they receive and the work load/conditions they endure. I have heard of some steam engines that operated for 70 some odd years continually in factories, and electric motors I could see running for as long as they were supplied power.
