im going to assume your talking about computer networking which in this case would be RISER. In ceiling would be plenum
Plenum rated cabling is required when used in an open ceiling return air environment. That is when the return air for the hvac units use the space between the ceiling of the first floor and the floor of the second floor as a return air plenum. The way to tell is if the return air vent has a duct attached to it. The duct will run to the air conditioning air handler. This condition IS NOT a plenum rated ceiling. However, if the return air vent does not have a duct, that means the air conditioning air handler is using the air space between floors as a plenum. This condition requires the use of plenum rated cabling. If plenum rated cable is exposed to flame, it does not give off toxic gases as it melts.
Fiber optic cabling, Category cabling, and coaxial cabling.
Yes, there are Many kinds of NICs capable of using multiple cabling a 10/100 NIC is a NIC that can use both 10BaseT Cabling and 100Base Cabling
it is not UPT ,it is UTP which stands Unshielded Twisted Pair. The UTP is mainly used for network cabling i.e; LAN cabling.

Structured cabling is used for telecommunications withing a building or campus. The reason it is called structured is because it is made up of many different subsystems.
Commonly used cabling techniques include structured cabling, which organizes and standardizes cabling systems for data and telecommunications; point-to-point wiring, which connects individual devices directly; and star topology, where each device connects to a central hub, enhancing reliability and simplifying troubleshooting. Additionally, fiber optic cabling is increasingly popular for high-speed data transmission over long distances, while twisted pair cabling, such as Cat5e and Cat6, is widely used for Ethernet networks due to its cost-effectiveness and ease of installation.
Category 5. This is used to specify a quality of network cabling. Category 5 is the lowest category that is usable for network cabling.
UTP & COAX cable's are used
