A misfire is typically due to an ignition issue such as plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Since yours does not have a cap and rotor, I would suspect a bad plug or wire.
It could either be a bad ignition coil, a bad ignition rotor, a bad ignition cap, a bad ignition control module (if equipped), or a bad coil to cap wire.
Your check engine light will come on and the computer will give you an emissions code reading. I have had 2 cars show this code and it went away after I replaced the gas cap. Hope this helps.
